70% of the population is inside this social class, activate domestic demand, and generates employment and investments
The Viceministry of SME and Industry Francisco Grippa said that the majority of the new peruvian middle class bet on the creation of companies and entrepreurship that generate more employment and investments
“The expansion of middle class will contribute to the industrialization development. Besides, it is the segment that activates domestic demand, that is to say, the consumption of products and services.
Peruvian middle class expanded to represent 70.1% of the total population; 27.8% are poor and 2.1% are high class according to a research conducted by Interamerican Bank of Development (IDB).
Grippa remarks that the support of the State is important, especially for the young entrepreneurs, with the aim to promote the diversification of the economy and the development of value added products.
Peruvian government is implementing measures to boost the productive development and entrepreneurship growth of SMEs.
