Banco Itaú is ending 2016 standing out for being the first bank to sign an agreement with the Ministry of Education and Sports to implement the program “Professional Practices”.

This program encourages students to strengthen the skills and knowledge that fit the technical professional profile in which they are training in a real working environment.

The 27 students who took part during 2016 -they attend the Technical School of the Lebanon Republic of Buenos Aires- received their certificate in an award event that gave closure to the first phase of this new program. Students completed around 100 effective learning hours in a working environment accompanied by tutors. During the experience they were guided in real situations of professional practice in which they could use and apply what they have learned.

In addition, the already existing program “Educational Apprenticeships Itau”, designed by the bank in the context of Learning by Working, a program of the Ministry of Education of Buenos Aires City, in which over 150 youngsters have participated, was granted the Honorable Mention of the Award Conciencia 2016.

“We are very proud for the human quality of our teams, which was reflected in the commitment of the tutors with these wonderful projects and with their apprentices”, said Silvia Calvani, Director of People Management of Itaú.
