The Peruvian Chamber of Electronic Trade and Sierra Exportadora promoted the First StartUp Weekend Ebusiness Edition, the largest event of technological innovation and transformation in Peru.

The goal was challenging: finding the new entrepreneur who is capable of impacting the lives of millions of Peruvians.

To achieve it, the First Startup Weekend Ebusiness Edition of Latin America was developed in Lima, gathering the main founders of successful internet companies, who became part of a volunteer and mentoring program that lasted 54 hours.

The program trained 150 technological entrepreneurs. A team of experts in innovation and electronic commerce guided the entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into functioning real prototypes with a scalable business model.

Among the leaders invited to guide the work of entrepreneurs were Fernando D’Alessio, Cofounder of Linio.com.pe; Fernando Cruz, Business Manager of Easy Taxi; Augusto Castañeda, CEO Founder of GRAMDT; Ludmila Volodina, specialist in innovation and Startups, Helmut Cáceda, CEO Founder of the Peruvian Chamber of Electronic Trade. Other attendants included representatives of Sierra Exportadora, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM and other key actors of Lima’s digital ecosystem.

A special guest was Kent Langley, a technological leader and visionary, mentor and entrepreneur of Silicon Valley and deputy professor at the Singularity University, the most extreme university in the world, financed by Google and the NASA, in the area of Big Data/Data Science, exponential technologies, among others.

This First Startup Weekend Ebusiness Edition was developed within the DojoStartup Sierra, a proposal that seeks to articulate agents of change such as leaders, businessmen, teachers, scientists, university students and entrepreneurs to create a movement based in the collaboration that enables helping to increase the development through the right use of technology and apply it to local businesses.

According to the organizing team, the event is an exclusive space for those who think that education transforms, those convinced that science and technology revolutionize the world and those who have made of entrepreneurship and innovation a way of life.
