Today, the World Employment Confederation (WEC), in partnership with Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), is launching the European Employment Barometer, an interactive new research tool that enables users to filter, sort and download selected indicators related to the employment situation and agency work across Europe.

With real-time data compiled from Eurostat’s most recent labour market survey, along with findings provided via WEC’s European national federations members, the tool can be used to track data and market trends over time and for specific geographies.

“We’re delighted to curate this unique data set with our partners at the WEC.” said John Nurthen, Executive Director of Global Research at SIA. “It is an invaluable tool for those interested in keeping up-to-date with labour trends across Europe, especially those relating to temporary work.”

The provided metrics can also be used to correlate indicators with economic factors to illustrate relationships between economic trends and temporary agency work; and to compare cross sections of specific data.

It helps to derive an understanding of drivers and relevant activity in the European staffing, recruitment and workforce solutions industry and demonstrates how the staffing industry’s development is closely correlated to the economic situation.” said Denis Pennel, Managing Director of the World Employment Confederation.

The Barometer issues each quarter and is available via WEC’s website or SIA’s website.
