A Startup Is the Means, People Are the End

There is a widely held belief that AI primarily impacts young talent. We constantly hear that AI is destroying entry-level jobs. We read that AI is replacing young professionals.

Two years ago, when Aindez was just beginning, I listened to Patricio Nobili on the Hackers del Talento podcast. He said:

“You can tell someone that our goal is to hire people so we can sell hamburgers. Or I can tell you that, at least the way I see it, we sell hamburgers so we can hire people.”

At that time, I was also following studies on youth employment and employability research in Latin America conducted by Martin Padulla, who is now my partner on this journey.

Looking back today, it all makes perfect sense.

At Aindez, one could say that we hire young talent to create a unique solution for Latin America’s workforce solutions industry. But in reality, I believe our solution grows to create opportunities for the young talent that makes up our team.

This is not merely a conceptual distinction. It is a philosophical one.

The product is not the end goal; it is the means. People are the end goal.

Contributing to the development of creative and talented young professionals is a powerful force—one capable of taking a team to places it never imagined possible.

Back then, as we were launching Aindez, these ideas resonated with me, although I did not fully understand why. Today, two years later, everything fits together perfectly.

Perhaps it was intuition that first brought us closer to the Tecnológico de Monterrey. In that remarkable Mexican city that we have come to love, we hired talented students and began building our team. Today, we maintain a strong relationship with the Innovation District, which supports us and continually connects us with the young talent we help develop. It has been a wonderful partnership.

At Aindez, we help companies with talent-intensive operations manage their workforce in a flexible and scalable way—much like we manage our own startup. We do not sell something we have not experienced ourselves.

In Latin America, the challenge of managing large workforces is unique. Traditional HR solutions were designed to standardize and control. In our region, the needs are different. It is essential to understand culture, grasp local dynamics, identify relevant use cases, and remain agile and flexible.

That is why we built an orchestrator: a system that integrates the best specialized solutions from each country. Candidate management, attendance tracking, payroll, contracts, validations, and more—all centralized, all available in real time.

Faster response times. Better experiences. Greater development.

With centralized and structured information, our specialized AI is able to understand the context of each company, process vast amounts of data, and provide responses 24/7. Through Aindez, our clients can grow and create more employment opportunities. As they grow, Aindez grows with them, generating greater opportunities for young professionals across our region. A virtuous cycle.

We have succeeded in making the abstract concept of impact tangible in everyday operations. We are creating real value for clients, talent, and the societies of our region. On a personal level, Aindez has been an extraordinary vehicle that has allowed me to enter a cycle of accelerated learning and growth that I believe is only just beginning.

There have already been countless lessons learned throughout this journey, but if I had to choose one to share, it would be this: everything changes when we put people at the center.
