The Japanese company launched the Sony Tablet Compact, its 8” Tablet.

The first thing that stands out in this device is how extremely thin and light it is, as it is 6, 4 mm thick and weights 269 gr. Without any doubts this turns the Z3 into the lightest and thinnest Tablet available in the market. It is 213 mm tall and 124 mm wide. The four angles are made of aluminum polymer, increasing its resistance to blows.

The processor is a Snapdragon 801 of Qualcomm of 4 nucleus at 2.5 Ghz, the same of the new smartphone of the company, the Xperia Z3.

It has 3 GB of RAM memory and, as regards storage memory, there will be two versions with 16 and 32 GB, both of which may be amplified with Micro SD cards that may add up to 128 additional GB to the device. One of it major competitive advantages is that it is water and dust resistant device.

The 8” Triluminos screen reaches a 1.920 x 1.200 pixels resolution. The Z3 Tablet Compact has a back camera of 8 megapixels and a front camera of 2 megapixels. As regards the audio system, it has two stereo speakers and Sony’s classic noise cancelling technology.
