The Peruvian Ministry of Labour and Employment Promotion (MTPE) has approved the Dual Action Training Plan to Improve Employability.

The MTPE has provided authorization to the General Direction of Professional and Labour Training to use the technical instruments and necessary devices for the implementation of the program.

The ministry’s resolution 017-2016-TR, states that dual training is a flexible and dynamic learning strategy, based on the Dual Training model.

It combines the development of skills in a working environment (a company) and an academic environment (Training Entity – ECAP), which enables the acquisition and strengthening of skills to improve productivity and job placements among young people.

The plan complements the National Youth Employment Program “Productive Youngsters”, which seeks to promote job placements among young people aged from 15 to 29 years old, who have little economic resources, are in vulnerable situations and belong to the poorest households of the rural and urban population.
