Arriving at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix causes mixed feelings. Are we facing an antique hotel? Is it the product of modern architecture? Are we looking at a futurist project?

Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the greatest architects of the 20st century, managed to develop in 1929 the “jewel of the desert” and to make us think about the past, present and future when we look at it in the 21st century.

No better place could be chosen to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Staffing Industry Analysts. The Waldorf Astoria hotel represents a place filled with history and with projection to the future that invites us to revise the past, analyse the present and explore the future of the industry.

Every day had an exceptional Keynote. The panel “25 years of Staffing Industry Success”, moderated by Barry Asin, President of Staffing Industry Analysts and formed by four business leaders and innovators such as Tony Martin, Peter Yessne, Harold Mills and Jai Shekhawat. These experts held an entertaining debate that showed the profound change the Industry has experienced over these years and the challenges it has ahead in a clearly global market.

Marcus Buckingham, Leadership and Management expert talked about Strengthening Teams, emphasizing on strengths. Buckingham considers that engagement and performance are the consequences of teams using their strengths on a daily basis and the trigger for this to happen is the Team Leader.

Jeremie Kubicek was responsible for delivering another Keynote with his innovative, simple and deep analogy of the 5 Gears. Kubicek’s thesis focuses on effective and productive leadership. However, his idea “work smarter, not harder” is a plea for work-life balance. His excellent book is far more than a leadership book.

Finally, Neil Jacobstein, Artificial Intelligence specialist at the Singularity University, took as directly into the future and showed as the next revolution that will impact the world of work through the development of artificial intelligence.

Sessions linked to M&A processes, to concepts such as Total Talent Management, Human Cloud Interviews, the introduction of new technologies, attraction and retention of Millennials where only a part of an agenda with excellent content.

Also, noteworthy on its own was the innovative idea of the Regional Roundtables for Latin America, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom.
