Itaú CorpBanca appointed Milton Maluhy Filho as General Manager starting on January 2016.

The Brazilian executive has been a partner of Itaú Unibanco since 2011 and has been a part of the Itaú Unibanco group for 13 years. Until December 2015 he was director president of Redecard S.A. and executive director of Itaú Unibanco. He has been responsible for the management of the credit cards sector and of the alliances of Itau with Carrefour, Wal-Mart and Pão de Açúcar.

In an internal letter addressed to workers of both banks, the presidents of CorpBanca, Jorge Andrés Saieh, and of Itaú Chile, Ricardo Villela Marino, informed that the new general manager “will be responsible for leading the integration of both banks in Chile, as well as for launching the brand Itau in Colombia, enhancing the better business practices we have in both institutions. In addition, his contribution will be vital to develop a strong corporative culture in both countries, aligned to the culture of Itaú Unibanco”.

The general manager of Itau Bank in Chile, Boris Buvinic, left his position on December 31^st. Buvinic was responsible for Itau Chile for eight years, and after leaving his executive position, he will have new responsibilities as director of Itaú Unibanco in the region. Once the merger is completed in Chile, he will be joining the board of directors of Itaú CorpBanca in Chile and Colombia.
