Investments from Chilean companies in Peru have risen during the past few years. The most visible investments are linked to retail, with well-known companies such as Falabella, Cencosud and Ripley.
PwC developed a report last year that stated that the companies that show the most interest in investing in Peru are Chilean firms. Chilean capital in Peru is over USD 16,000 million, mostly in sectors such as trade, energy and industry. Meanwhile, Peruvian investments in Chile reach USD 10,000 million.
With the arrival of Pedro Pablo Kuczynski to Peru’s presidency, Chilean businessmen expect a new wave of investments, given the stability of the Peruvian economy and the growth rates, which make new development projects attractive.
