IBM Chile announced the designation of Eduardo Gutiérrez as new General Manager of the Company. The executive will follow Mauricio Torres, who shall become Director of Strategy and Transformation for IBM Latin America, after leading IBM’s operations in Chile for three years.

Gutierrez has vast experience in the information technology industry in Mexico and the region. Having worked for over two decades in IBM, he has held several leading and strategy positions in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and the region. As Business Manager of IBM Mexico he was responsible for the business’s geographic expansion in the country. Previously, he was Director of Software of IBM Mexico and Central America and led the areas of Business Associates, Alliances and Financing in Mexico.
