A study performed by Tholons states that the Central American country is the best destine in the region for outsourcing services
According to a research developed by the consulting firm Tholons, San José de Costa Rica, including the Metropolitan Area, was the best destination in the Americas for outsourcing services in 2014.
On a global scale the capital city of Costa Rica is number 13, maintaining its position from 2013. Most of the other cities that figure in the first positions of the ranking are located in India, with Bengaluru in the 1st place, Mumbai in the 3rd, Delhi in the 4th and Chennai in the 5th.
One of the main factors that distinguishes the country is the high quality of its’ human talent.
According to data shown by the Costa Rican Coalition of Development Initiatives, the multinational services sector includes over 150 companies, which generate around 50.000 direct jobs.
During 2014 CINDE managed to attract 18 new investment projects for the services sector and there were remarkable re-investments.
Given the current dynamic of the country’s economy, everything seems to indicate that the results of the 2015 ranking will be rather positive as well.
