The Technological Institute of Monterrey (ITESM), the University of Sao Paulo and the Catholic University of Chile outstand in this global ranking

According to a report developed by the prestigious global consulting firm QS, after analyzing 1.239 institutions from all over the world, these three Latin American universities are among the top 50 of the world when it comes to employability. In these universities the gap between the skills they develop among their professionals and the skills the labour market demands is low enough to enable graduates a quick and good labour insertion.

On a regional scale, there are ten universities among the top 200 of the world: two from México, two from Brazil, two from Chile and two from Argentina.

The ranking was developed as a result of the growing demand of information on labour perspectives. Its goal was to evaluate employability among graduates to show how the universities are seen in the labour market on a global scale and up to what extent these institutions are connected to the professional world.

The research considers five indicators: reputation among employers (30%), associations with employers (25%), presence of employers in the campus (15%) and employability rate among graduates (10%), among others.

The institution with the highest score in the world is the University of Standford, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard. The United States is the global leader in Education and Employment creation.
