Amidst the digital transformation, technology teams are being observed by management. The role of IT executives is changing, as well as the skills they need to access those jobs.
According to a survey by GeeksHubs, technological companies agree on the fact that soft skills are becoming more relevant in recruitment processes of technology leaders, and it is not easy to find such skills among candidates.
This kind of skills include the ability to work in teams, to give and received feedback in a positive way, relational skills, problem solving and executive decision making, using emotional psychology to manage people, knowing how to adapt and work in international environments with multilingual and multicultural teams.
According to Justyna Adamczyk, HR Manager at CARTO and teacher at the GeeksHubs Academy, “there is an urgent need to bet on the best technological talent possible but these profiles must fit in projects focused on innovation and the future of the company. Therefore, it is key to have training programs that enable tech professionals to acquire skills that are not being taught in technical university courses”.
Leaders of technological teams must have an innovative and creative vision, and must be capable of providing added value to survive in a changing and increasingly automated environment, where machines will develop more and more programming tasks.
The problem is that it is not easy to learn these skills in traditional education environments. So, GeeksHubsAcademy is presenting a CTO and Development Manager Course, based on intensive bootcamps for experienced professionals who want to improve their skills on these areas, specialize themselves or start their path towards becoming Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, Lead Architect, Development Manager or CTO.
