The Surface Book 2, second generation of its convertible laptop, can become a tablet by detaching the screen, which shall be available both in 13.5 and 15 inches.
Surface Book 2 has the latest line of Intel Core eight generation processors, plus Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics of 1050 and 1060 pixels, according to the size of the device.
It is available in the 13.5 inches screen with a 3000 by 2000 pixels, equipped with a Core i5 seventh generation processor with 8 GB RAM, while the 15 inches model has a resolution of 3240 by 2160 pixels, and uses a Core i7 eight generation processor, with a 16 GB RAM.
According to Microsoft, both models have up to 17 hours of battery life, and about five hours of video playing under the tablet mode, when the screen is detached from the key board.
It has two USB ports, a C type USB, SD slot, audio connection and surface connection. It has a 5 megapixels front camera and an 8 megapixels back camera. The device also has support for Windows Hello, the biometric validation system of Microsoft.
The 13.5 inches Surface Book 2 weights 1.64 kilos and its price will start at USD 1,499, while the 15 inches model weights 1.9 kilos and will cost USD 2,499.
