LinkedIn has just launched ‘LinkedIn Learning’, a platform that will deliver online courses to users. Initially, the service will have 9,000 online courses on different topics –programming, business management, creativity, accountancy, etc. – with the goal of making users acquire new skills and knowledge.
For the time being, only premium users will be able to access the new training service. They will have a total number of 25 courses per week. Nevertheless, LinkedIn’s goal is to make this service available for companies so they can suggest courses to their employees.
The courses delivered through “LinkedIn Learning” will be an adaptation of the courses offered by Lynda.com, the online leaning platform that LinkedIn acquired over a year ago. With this new play, the social network –acquired by Microsoft- will add training to its portfolio of services.
