LG has decided to follow the example of Huawei, which in March introduced the P20 Pro, a mobile phone that was the first to have a triple back camera. This month, LG introduced the new V40 ThinQ, which has five cameras.
The device has a SoC Snapdragon 845, 6 GB of internal storage, 64 or 128 GB of secondary storage, a 6.4 inches OLED screen with QHD+ resolution, a 3.300 mAh battery, etc.
It also includes a triple back camera, wide angle, standard optics, and telephoto lens.
The V40 ThinQ provides three cameras with standard optical, wide angle and telephoto lens, as well as several possibilities when it comes choosing composition. As regards the telephoto lens it can make a difference between being able to take a picture or nor.
Dual frontal camera in tandem to improve selfies.
The dual frontal camera uses a camera with standard optical, f/1.9 aperture, and 8MP sensor, and an additional angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5MP sensor and 90 degrees angle.
Both cameras work in tandem, so the information the two sensors pick up is processed to create a single photograph.
The goal of this technique is to offer greater control on the bokeh, so that we may choose the exact level of soft focus, using a sliding bar. In additions, two sensors clearly pick up more light.
According to LG, the AI of the V40 ThinQ is capable of suggesting an alternative composition if it senses that we have not chosen the best. It also includes new algorithms to create emojies, apply beauty filters, lighting effects and, even, an app called Cine Shot, which enables us to create animated images using a short video that we can record with any of the three back cameras and retouch following our intuition.
A new option that will soon become available in Latin America.
