The International Labor Organization published an InfoStory about the rise of what they call non-standard employment, and its meaning for workers, employers and societies across the globe.

For many workers, non-standard employment has become standard. This means that a large percentage of the working population do not work on an eight hours a day, five days a week basis.

There is a variety of employment forms, different to permanent full-time employment, growing all over the world.
