The president of Fedecámaras, Carlos Larrazábal, reported that the International Labour Organization (ILO), will be visiting the country between January 29th and February 2nd.
Carlos Larrazábal, president of Fedecámaras announced that a commission of inquiry from the International Labour Organization (ILO) will be visiting the country between January 29th and February 2nd. The results will be discussed in March, during a meeting to be developed in Genève, Switzerland, and decisions will me made regarding different violations on the agreements, perpetuated by the Venezuelan government.
Venezuela is under the highest level of penalization by the Commission of Inquiry, a verification agency of the fulfilment of the recommendations made to the country. This could mean that Venezuela shall be examined by an international court.
“Countries and unions from all over the world have recognized that measures to reinstate social dialogue in Venezuela are not being taken, and the causes of the terrible deterioration of the salary are not being addressed. Therefore, during the meeting held in November the final decision made was of a Commission of Inquiry to make a second visit”, he stated.
The president of Fedecamaras had to mention key concepts, such as the ones that assure that “social dialogue conventions state that every minimum wage raise must be debated by both, employers and workers”.
